About Us
Established in 1983, Tenacious Ltd. has continued to expand East-West relations with the distribution and licensing of various products throughout Japan and the United States. Establishing a retail outlet in downtown Los Angeles, Tenacious began developing key relationships in Japan that would eventually lead to the distribution and exportation of various sporting goods in Japan.
1980’s
Tenacious became one of the largest exporters of US skateboard products to Japan.
At the same time, Tenacious began licensing various brands to and from Japan.
1990’s
In the late nineties, as economic conditions changed, Tenacious introduced an innovative and patented product for distribution in the U.S. called Katana Golf. The Katana product featured a state-of-the art as-rolled beta Titanium club. It was the #1 selling Driver in Japan. This was the first major endeavor for Tenacious Ltd.
2000’s
In the early 20th Century, Tenacious represented FPS (Flat Panel Speakers), and its patented flat panel technology. We expanded into the U.S audio industry by creating the FPSounds backpack, a unique pack that incorporated the FPS speakers. The addition of the Sunglass Fit and Coolbit (renamed Cool Lidz for the U.S. market), adds to the growing variety of products that Tenacious offers.
Tenacious also represents another product from Japan call the Tenacious Battery Revitalization System. This economically friendly product can give commercial batteries a much longer life span that in turn saves money and resources.
2010’s
Tenacious intends to look towards the licensing of various brands from both the US and Japan. We have already begun talks with the company that organized Licensing Asia 09 and the Tokyo Content Market 2009 trade shows. The Nihon Keizai Company is the company that organized the show. It is just like the Wall Street Journal here in the US and yet they do many other ventures. With their resources available to us, we have many opportunities now available to us. We are also talking to many other Companies about distributing their brands here in the US and also in Japan.
FPS Japan is currently involved with putting our FPS speakers into train stations or areas where there is a lot of traffic. The weight, thinness and the dual sides, help make our speakers very eco friendly and cost effective. The FPS speakers have also been installed into the ceiling of a prototype Toyota for display in the 2009 Auto Show in Japan. Toyota Motors will be installing the FPS speakers in 10 of their 2011 vehicles. The thinness, weight and directivity are features that are very appealing to auto mfg’s. Another breakthrough item is the Sound Cancellation Speaker created by our unique speakers.
